
Hyderabad, Aug.28 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana government has invited applications from BC and EBC students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme.
Applications for the August/September 2026 Fall Session will be accepted from September 1 to 30, 2026. A total of 350 students will be selected under the scheme in this phase, including 250 BC students and 100 EBC students.
Commissioner of the Backward Classes Welfare Department Balamayadevi said eligible students seeking admission to higher education programmes, including post-graduation and Ph.D. courses abroad, should make use of the opportunity.
As per the eligibility criteria, the applicant’s annual family income from all sources should be below ₹5 lakh, while the applicant should be not more than 35 years of age as on the date of application.
Candidates should have secured a minimum of 60 per cent marks in graduation. Applicants should also have a GRE score of at least 260 or a GMAT score of 500. They should have secured a minimum of 60 in TOEFL, 6.0 in IELTS or 50 in PTE.
The government urged eligible students to submit their applications within the stipulated deadline and make use of the opportunity to pursue higher education abroad.
