Hyderabad, Sept.4 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited Maddur municipality in Kodangal Assembly constituency of Narayanpet district on Friday and inspected various ongoing development works.
After arriving in Maddur from Hyderabad by special helicopter, the Chief Minister first inspected the construction of the degree college building. WIDC Managing Director Ganapathi Reddy briefed him on the project, stating that the three-storey building was being constructed on a four-acre site with a built-up area of 13,670 square feet.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to conduct a survey of the additional land adjoining the college building and facing the main road. He instructed Narayanpet District Collector Priyanka to acquire the land from the titleholders if it was found to be private property and construct a compound wall around the college to provide it with a spacious campus.
The Chief Minister directed officials to complete the degree college building by March and take all necessary measures to commence classes from the next academic year.
He subsequently inspected the construction of the residential school and college buildings and instructed officials to complete the works within the stipulated timeframe, maintaining quality standards, and make the facilities ready for use.
Revanth Reddy also directed officials to sanction Indiramma houses to those who had donated land for the construction of the Gurukula (residential school) buildings.
A large number of fans, Congress leaders and party workers gathered to welcome the Chief Minister and interacted with him as he inspected the development works.
