Vivek calls for wider dissemination of Ambedkar’s ideals

Hyderabad, Sept.6 (RAHNUMA): A grand ceremony was held on Sunday for the laying of the foundation stone for the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Cultural Centre, which is being established to propagate Dr Ambedkar’s ideals of social equality, education, justice, art and culture among the people.

The event was organised by the Abhyudaya Arts Academy, Hyderabad, at the Cyber Meadows venture in Taramatipet of Abdullapurmet mandal in Ranga Reddy district.

Minister for SHAKTI and Mines Dr G. Vivek Venkataswamy, Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy and MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy attended the programme and laid the foundation stone for the cultural centre.

Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Venkataswamy said Dr Ambedkar’s contributions to the nation and his advocacy of social equality, education, justice and democratic values continued to inspire generations.

He stressed the need for institutions such as the cultural centre to take Dr Ambedkar’s thoughts and ideals to a wider audience through art and cultural activities.

According to the organisers, the centre would provide a platform for artists, litterateurs, students and youth and host programmes aimed at promoting Dr Ambedkar’s philosophy and fostering social consciousness among the public.

Artists, public representatives, prominent personalities from various fields and representatives of the Abhyudaya Arts Academy participated in the foundation-laying ceremony.
