Aadi Srinivas criticises KTR’s remarks against officials

Hyderabad, Nov.27 (NSS): Government Whip Aadi Srinivas strongly condemned BRS working president KT Rama Rao’s derogatory remarks against the Siricilla Collector, accusing him of arrogance and disrespect toward officials.

Speaking to reporters at the Congress Legislative Party ( CLP) media conference hall on Wednesday, Aadi Srinivas, along with Thungaturthi MLA Mandula Samuel, alleged that KTR’s comments against Siricilla Collector, including calling him derogatory terms, highlight an abuse of power and lack of propriety.

“KTR’s arrogance remains unchecked, even after losing power. He speaks recklessly about everyone, from the Chief Minister to Collectors, with no sense of boundaries,” he said.

The Congress MLA criticised the BRS leader for calling the Siricilla Collector a “petty official” and falsely accusing him of being a Congress worker.

The Government Whip alleged that KTR was in frustration over the latter’s investigations into irregularities in Siricilla.

“For the past ten years, KT Rama Rao and his followers had exploited 1,000 acres of government land. The Collector is now reclaiming 150 acres from ineligible occupants, and KTR is retaliating by threatening and defaming him,” he claimed.

Demanding accountability, Aadi Srinivas urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to order a CID probe into land mismanagement in Siricilla. He also called on the IAS Officers’ Association to respond strongly to KTR’s comments and lodge a formal complaint.

Thungaturthi MLA Mandula Samuel joined the criticism, stating that KTR has disrespected IAS officers and weakened opposition voices. He accused KTR of misusing schemes like the Bathukamma saree distribution to exploit handloom workers in Siricilla while importing sarees from Mumbai.

“Power isn’t KTR’s personal property. For ten years, he has failed to establish even a thread depot in Siricilla. KTR should apologise to the IAS officers and face legal consequences for his actions,” Samuel stated.

Both leaders also alleged that KTR’s remarks are an attempt to divert attention from internal issues within the BRS and growing public dissatisfaction with its governance.
