Hyderabad, Aug.13 (NSS): Ranga Reddy District Joint Collector (JC) Bhupal Reddy has been arrested by ACB. The district Collectorate Senior Assistant Madanmohan Reddy was also arrested along with him. The Joint Collector demanded a bribe of Rs 8 lakh for the removal of land from the prohibited list in Dharani portal. The money was taken by JC through the senior assistant. In this order, the ACB officials caught the JC and the senior assistant. On the other hand, ACB officials conducted searches at JC Bhupal Reddy’s residence in Nagol. Rs.16 lakh cash and key documents were seized from the house during the raids.
Can’t escape from ACB: CV Anand
ACB DG CV Anand said that officials who take bribes cannot escape from the ACB no matter how many precautions they take and added that the proof of this was that the joint collector and senior assistant were caught red-handed by them. He praised the ACB team for working very cleverly on Monday night to catch them.
