
Hyderabad, Oct.18 (NSS): The Adani Group of Companies has donated Rs.100 crores to Telangana’s prestigious Young India Skill University.
Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group of Companies called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat here on Friday and handed over a cheque of Rs100 crores to the Chief Minister. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and Dana Kishore, Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD), and Managing Director of the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation was also present during Goutham Adani’s interaction.
The university, located at Mirkhanpet village of Kandukuru mandal in Rangareddy, aims to provide skill training to youth in 17 courses and facilitate job opportunities in private sectors.
The institution plans to expand and train one lakh students annually. Currently, the university operates from the Engineering Staff College of India in Gachibowli until its own building is completed. Admissions have already begun for this year, with classes starting on November 4. Initially, six priority courses will be offered, with plans to add more later. Anand Mahindra, a renowned industrialist, serves as the university’s chairman.
