Addanki Dayakar criticises KCR’s claims on Telangana’s progress

Hyderabad, Nov.10 (NSS): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) General Secretary Addanki Dayakar has criticised former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s assertions about the BRS government’s achievements during the last ten years.

Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, the Congress leader accused KCR of clinging to a “daydream” that his leadership still holds significance for Telangana, despite emerging only occasionally to make such statements.

In a strong counter to KCR’s statement, Addanki Dayakar alleged that KCR is attempting to take credit for the development of Telangana after having caused “significant damage to all institutions.”

The Congress government intends to deliver honest governance without the scandals unlike the previous BRS government has faced involving land and project-based corruption, he said.

Asserting that Telangana’s people no longer have the patience for KCR’s brand of governance, he further mocked KCR’s rhetoric of “building, not destroying,” suggesting that KCR has, in fact, been responsible for dismantling institutional integrity across the state.

Dayakar reassured the people that Congress government is committed to revitalise these institutions, including launching initiatives to rejuvenate Hyderabad’s infrastructure.

He also highlighted the Congress government’s intention to provide sustainable solutions for the Musi River’s cleanup, underscoring that they aim to offer long-term relief to affected communities.
