
Hyderabad, Aug.5 (NSS): Eminent industrialist and chairman of Mahindra Group Anand Mahindra is likely to take charge as Chairman of Telangana Young India Skill University in a couple of days.
Disclosing this details at a programme in New Jersey, the Chief Minister, who is currently on a US tour, said that he has requested prominent industrialist Anand Mahindra to be the chairman of Telangana Young India Skill University.
“Anand Mahindra has been requested to this extent. There is a possibility that he will take over the responsibilities in two or three days,” Revanth Reddy said.
The new Skill University is considered as the brainchild of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Along with the recent approval of the Skill University Bill by the Assembly, the Chief Minister has recently laid the foundation stone for the Telangana Young India Skill University at Mir Khanpet in Kandukuru mandal of Rangareddy district.
According to officials, the Chancellor of the University will be the Governor or the Chief Minister. A governing body will be formed with industry leaders soon. Six skill development courses will be introduced in the first year at the Skill University and trained students will be given certificates after completing the courses.
