Animal welfare members meet Guv

Hyderabad, Nov.17 (NSS)Members of various animal welfare organizations met with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, at Rajbhavan today. They presented him with a ‘Love for Cow’ memento and a symbolic Gau Mata statue.

Representatives from Love for Cow Foundation, Bhartiya Prani Mitra Sangh, and Govats Foundation briefed the Governor on their initiatives. Chairman Jasmat Patel explained the organization’s mission to encourage people to save at least ₹1 daily for Gau Mata, totaling ₹365 annually, to support cow conservation.

The members requested the Governor’s support in securing funds for gaushalas and invited him to visit these facilities. In response, The Governor asked about various provisions in prevention of cruelty to animals and state cow protection acts as well.

The governor further asked about the police department actions against the illegal transport of cattle and slaughter houses activities. After patiently listening the group of activists, the governor praised their efforts, promising to visit gaushalas soon and offer assistance.
