Hyderabad, April 12, 2025: The Ashoka School of Business (ASB), a premier institute under the Ashoka Group of Institutions, held its Convocation Ceremony with grandeur and dignity at its campus. The Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, Sri Jishnu Dev Varma, graced the event and delivered the Convocation Address, emphasizing ethical leadership, continuous learning, and responsible entrepreneurship.
In his inspiring address, the Governor called upon students to imbibe the qualities of a true LEADER — Learning, Ethical Integrity, Adaptability, Determination, Empathy, and Responsibility. He cited global Indian achievers like Sundar Pichai, Indra Nooyi, and Narayana Murthy as role models.
Honorable Governor, Sri Jinshnu Dev Varma, felicitated Ms. A Haindhavi (2022), Ms. S Shivani (2023), Ms. P Hymavathi (2024) from PGDM & Ms. Ritika Nitin Kulkarni (2024) – for PGDM (AI &DS) with Gold Medals and Certificates.
The Chairman of the Ashoka Group, Sri Ashok Nomula, welcomed dignitaries and addressed the graduating batch, highlighting ASB’s meteoric rise in Indian business education. He shared the Group’s visionary roadmap to become a University, unveiling a master plan of 8.3 lakh sq. ft. and laying the foundation stone for the iconic library block “Ananta.”
Sri Mahdi Shahrokhi, Consul General of Iran, shared insights on bilateral India–Iran opportunities in his guest of honor address. He encouraged students to explore cross-border entrepreneurial and educational collaborations and emphasized best practices for youth leadership in a globalized world.
Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Managing Director, Deloitte Consulting, guided the graduating class on corporate dos and don’ts, urging them to maintain integrity, agility, and communication skills as the pillars of long-term success in the workplace.
The Director, Dr. Y Lakshman Kumar, presented the Academic Report outlining ASB’s unique initiatives, including the Global Immersion Program in Dubai, innovative teaching through business simulations, and high research output with 100+ publications. Ninety-seven students received their PG Diplomas, with 45 women among them. The gold medalists from various specializations were also felicitated.
Notable recruiters this year included Tech Mahindra, HDFC, IBM, EY, Genpact, Magic Bricks, and Bajaj Finance, with the highest package touching ₹14.5 LPA and an average of ₹6.5 LPA.
Earlier, Honorable Governor Sri Jishnu Dev Varma unveiled the new campus master plan, and the ceremony concluded with the national anthem and the academic procession.
