
Hyderabad, Dec.9 (NSS): The Telangana Assembly session was adjourned to December 16.
The winter session of the Telangana Assembly and Council commenced on Monday. However, even before the proceedings began, BRS leaders staged a protest in front of the Assembly. Police detained the protesters and removed them from the premises.
During the session, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed the issue of the Telangana Talli statue. Members discussed the topic briefly, providing suggestions and feedback on the design.
The Assembly also resolved to officially celebrate Telangana Talli’s Founding Day every year. Following this, the Speaker announced the adjournment of the Assembly until December 16.
With Chief Minister Revanth Reddy visiting other States for personal and official purposes from December 11 to 13, the Assembly session has been adjourned till December 16. The Chief Minister will visit Jaipur, Rajasthan, on the first day and spend the next two days in Delhi. During this visit, Revanth Reddy is expected to discuss state-related matters with Union Ministers and officials. In addition to this, there is a likelihood of him meeting with the party high command.
With the Assembly session adjourned, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and other key leaders may accompany the Chief Minister to Delhi. Sources said that key discussions with the Congress high command are expected to revolve around Cabinet expansion, filling nominated posts, and other important party matters.
