Backlog posts for disabled to be filled soon: Seethakka

Hyderabad, Oct.14 (NSS): Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka said the backlog posts that have been pending for a long time in Telangana will be filled soon and the recruitment process in this regard has already been started.

Speaking at a programme after launching a Telangana Vikalangula job portal at the Secretariat here on Monday, the Minister said the State government was already allocating five percent of the welfare funds to the disabled, and moreover, it was trying to provide four percent reservation in private jobs.

“An online job portal has been launched aimed at providing job opportunities for the disabled candidates. They need not go around the companies, it is enough to register their names and update profile in the online job portal. Based on the qualifications, jobs will be offered to the disabled candidates,” Seethakka disclosed.

She further stated that the State government is committed to help the disabled in the field of welfare, education and employment and reminded that in the current State budget, Rs.50 crores have been allocated for the welfare of the disabled people.
