Hyderabad, Dec.25 (RAHNUMA): Union Minister Bandi Sanjay on Thursday found fault with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s ‘language’ against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, stating that it was inappropriate for someone holding a constitutional post.
Speaking informally to the media in the city, Bandi Sanjay said leaders at high positions must exercise restraint in their language, warning that repeated use of such remarks would erode the dignity of the Chief Minister’s office. He noted that a heated debate was underway in Telangana over the comments made by Revanth Reddy against KCR.
The Union Minister alleged that KCR was responsible for mistakes related to water-sharing issues, recalling that agreements were signed between the two Telugu-speaking states during KCR’s tenure. He said an IAS officer had even tweeted about the issue, and blamed KCR’s decisions on Krishna river water for the present situation. He further alleged that KCR had repeatedly avoided Apex Council meetings. He accused KCR’s family of being responsible for the “downfall of the state” and claimed that people themselves had confined the former Chief Minister to his farmhouse as they believed he was not good for Telangana.
He also made serious allegations against the present Congress government, claiming that two state ministers had amassed illegal assets worth thousands of crores and that the central investigation agencies were already monitoring them. He said those ministers could be jailed at any time, asserting that the Centre possessed evidence on the functioning of the state government.
Accusing some ministers of selling lands worth thousands of crores by misusing their power, Bandi Sanjay warned that the truth would soon come out. He alleged that the Revanth Reddy government was functioning no differently from the previous KCR regime and accused the Chief Minister of staging dramas to divert public attention from pressing issues.
