Hyderabad, Nov.6 (NSS): Bhanu Kiran, the main accused in the Maddela Cheruvu Suri murder case, has been released. After almost 12 years, Bhanu Kiran was released from Chanchalguda jail in the city. Bhanu, who has been in jail for 12 years in the Suri murder case, was recently granted bail by the court in CID and Arms Act case.
The court sentenced him to life imprisonment in the Suri murder case. Bhanu Kiran has been lodged in Chanchalguda jail for the past 12 years. He had approached the Supreme Court and the High Court seeking bail as he had been in jail for the last 12 years. The apex court, however, said the bail issue has to be decided in a local court. The case of the life imprisonment will also come up for hearing on November 11.
Bhanu Kiran is the main accused in the murder case of Maddela Cheruvu Suri in 2011. In December 2018, he was sentenced by the Nampally court. On January 4, 2011, he murdered Maddela Cheruvu Suri. Suri is an accused in the murder case of late leader and TDP MLA Paritala Ravi.
