Hyderabad, Oct.21 (NSS): The theme-based circuit train introduced by Indian Railways with the name of “Bharat Gaurav” tourist trains has been a huge success across South Central Railway. The earlier trains which were operated from the zone have received huge patronage with the consistent occupancy. Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has planned to introduce another Bharat Gaurav train originating from Telangana duly having boarding/deboarding places in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
SCR GM Arun Kumar Jain released the IRCTC Sabarimala Yatra Bharat Gaurav Tourist Brochure today. P. Rajkumar, Group General Manager, IRCTC was also present. The SCR GM expressed his happiness at the good response received from the passengers for the Bharat Gaurav Tourist trains being operated from SCR. He stated Bharat Gaurav trains are giving major fillip to the growth of spiritual Tourism in the country. He appealed Rail users to utilize the opportunity to visit Sabarimala temple and other connected pilgrim places.
As part of this, IRCTC has announced a new tourist package namely “Sabarimala Yatra” Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train starting from Secunderabad Railway Station. The train will cover famous Lord Ayyappa Temple, Sabarimala and Chottanikkara Devi Temple, Chottanikkara, while providing boarding/de-boarding facility at ten important en route stations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The boarding / de-boarding facility is provided at Nalgonda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Tirupati and Chittoor in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The whole trip will be covered over a period of four nights and five days. It includes all travel facilities (including both rail as well as road transport), accommodation facility, catering arrangements (Morning Tea, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner – both On-Board and Off-Board), security on train (including CCTV Cameras installed in all Coaches), public announcement facility in all coaches, Travel insurance and presence of IRCTC Tour Managers throughout the travel for assistance.
