
Hyderabad, Feb.6 (RAHNUMA): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the Gaddar Film Awards ceremony, set to take place on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, will be organised by the Film Development Corporation in a manner that is truly historic—“unprecedented in the past and unlikely to be replicated in the future.”
He emphasised the importance of conducting the event in a way that captures the attention of the global film industry towards Hyderabad. He assured that the state government would provide full support and cooperation to ensure the successful execution of the program.
On Friday, the Deputy Chief Minister initiated the film screening process for the Gaddar Film Awards at Prasad Labs.
During his remarks, he honoured Gaddar with profound tributes, describing him as a remarkable revolutionary who harnessed artistry and vision for social change, dedicating his life to the populace.
He elaborated that the establishment of film awards in Gaddar’s name by the Congress government was a recognition of his substantial contributions and announced that this year will mark the second edition of the awards. He declared that the presentation ceremony for the Gaddar Film Awards would take place in a grand manner on Ugadi.
He noted that Jury Chairman Mani Sharma is a well-respected figure within the film industry and urged him, along with all jury members, to uphold a transparent, impartial, and unbiased selection process, ensuring an equitable review of the films.
The event was attended by FDC Chairman Dil Raju, Screening Committee Chairman Mani Sharma, FDC Executive Director Kishore Babu, and several other distinguished guests.
