
Hyderabad, Dec.11 (NSS): Union Minister for Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu today said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts were behind the development of Shamshabad airport and added that Naidu acquired 5,000 acres of land for the airport in his rule .He was speaking at the inauguration of the airport predictive operation centre at Novatel in Shamshabad. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Chandrababu was behind the concept of greenfield airports and added that Naidu was also behind the IT revolution in the country. Stating that Chandrababu still believes that IT is the driving force for the development of the country, He explained that the highest technology is being used in the maintenance of airports.
He said that new services were being offered by them . “We are using digitra technology at 24 airports in the country. We will use data analytics to provide better services. An airport is not just a transport facility. It’s the way of employment. It is also a cultural center. The aviation ministry under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi is developing rapidly. The whole world is looking at India. Warangal and Bhogapuram airports are yet to be completed. The Bhogapuram airport will be completed by June 2026.
We are targeting to increase the number of airports to 50 in the next five years. The inauguration of airport predictive operation centre is a milestone,” Naidu said.
