Hyderabad, Oct.25 (NSS): BJLP leader Aleti Maheswar Reddy today slammed CM Revanth Reddy over his decision to take up Musi river beautification project at a cost of ₹1.5 lakh crore. Reminding the statement of the CM that the State’s exchequer like empty vessels full of gold was empty when his party came to power, he asked Revanth whether he found the vessels in the Musi project.
Addressing a gathering during the BJP Maha dharna program held at Indira Park here, he said permission was given to those houses built in the Musi river catchment area, during the Congress regime, and demanded that CM Revanth should answer as to how those houses became illegal now? He expressed anger that the ruling party leaders wanted to make the Musi beautification project like an ATM. He said they would not be allowed to demolish the houses of the poor for commissions and illegal income.
“We don’t want London or Seoul. We just want to keep it like our Hyderabad. In the past, KCR said they will make it like Istanbul. Does Revanth’s government see only the lands of the poor? MIM leaders are nowhere to be seen. Why are they not demolishing the houses of the MIM leaders,” he asked. Maheshwar Reddy made it clear that there would be no peace in the State capital if the houses of the poor were demolished.
