Hyderabad, April 5 (RAHNUMA): In a significant political development in Telangana state, the BJP has successfully captured the Khanapur Municipal Chairperson seat, overcoming intense pressure, threats, and political manipulation by the ruling Congress party.
BJP state president N Ramchander Rao in his twitter posted a message wishing party cadres for the victory in Khanapur Municipality. Rao in his post said against Congress power misuse and against undemocratic tactics, the Lotus bloomed in Khanapur.
BJP state president also congratulated Nirmal MLA and party’s floor leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy, district president Ritesh Rathore and tireless BJP karyakartas for their hard-fought victory.
This triumph is truly special because it came in the face of every undemocratic tactics by the Congress MLA to try and stop the BJP. Yet, our dedicated karyakartas stood firm and the lotus bloomed with pride, he said.
BJP state chief official spokesperson N V Subhash said that the victory is a direct answer to the “clandestine’ tactical alliance between the Congress and MIM. Following the exposure of their tie-up in Nizamabad, the same pattern was visible in Khanapur, but ultimately failed.
The victory is being credited to the coordinated efforts of BJP State President Ramchander Rao, the strategic planning of BJP Legislative Party Leader Alety Maheshwar Reddy and the guidance of Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh, Subhash said in a statement.
He said the results in Khanapur have put a “strong check” on the arrogance of the Congress party. He alleged that the Congress attempted to subvert the process through irregularities and temptations, but the local leadership and dedicated ground-level cadre ensured the Saffron flag was hoisted.
Subhash asserted that the BJP has labeled this win as a milestone that proves the party is the only true alternative in Telangana.
