BJP changed policy to target rival political parties: Narayana

Hanmakonda, Aug.23 (NSS):CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana today said their political rival BJP was implementing a new policy now and added that it was now saying that it would sail with those political parties, which support its government. He alleged that the BJP was now targeting the States, where its rival parties are in power, and harassing those political party leaders.

He also alleged that the BJP was harassing the Opposition political parties with the help of the governors  nominated by the Central government and added that the prosecution of people-elected Chief Minister of Karnataka was a part of the new policy adopted by the BJP led Central government. “This policy followed by the Modi government is against the spirit of the Constitution and federalism,” he said.

Along with CPI national secretary and former MP Syed Azeez Pasha, CPI State secretary and MLA Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao, State secretariat members Palla Venkat Reddy, Takkelapalli Srinivas, Pashya Padma, Kalavena Shankar, M Balanarasimha, State executive members B. Dr Narayana spoke to media. Speaking on the occasion, he welcomed the Supreme Court’s suo motu order taking suo motu cognisance of the incident of rape and murder of a doctor in Calcutta.

He demanded that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should take moral responsibility for the murder of the doctor. He also said soon after the incident, the principal of the medical college fled from the spot and added that within three days he was appointed elsewhere by the State government. He alleged that In Bihar and Maharashtra, where there are pro-BJP governments, the Central government had not responded to the atrocities on women and children. Narayana said Modi’s breath was in industrialist Adani’s hands and added that Modi would lose his PM’s post anything happened to his friend Adani in the same manner Bangladesh PM Shaik Haseena. Narayana alleged that PM Modi was destroying constitutional institutions and added that an RSS leader told him that Modi was also destroying the entire organisation of RSS.

He said even though Modi fielded TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu to get out of the internal crisis of the BJP and RSS, there was no result. He said the CPI welcomes the Supreme Court’s verdict on the classification of SC reservations and made it clear that the classification has nothing to do with the creamy layer. He questioned as to why Chandrababu and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar were living in slavery when the Modi government, which depended on Chandrababu and Nitish Kumar, had promised to give funds to Amaravati and Polavaram project sought by Chandrababu without giving special status.

Targeting CM Revanth Reddy, he alleged that both Congress and BRS parties were playing games in order to divert the attention of people from public problems.
