Hyderabad, Jan.11 (RAHNUMA): Bharatiya Janata Party state President and former Member of the Legislative Council N. Ramachandra Rao on Sunday said that Swami Vivekananda proclaimed the greatness of Sanatana Dharma on the world stage. He was speaking at a program organized by the Telangana Intellectuals Forum state branch at his residence in Tarnaka on Saturday for commemorating the 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. He called upon the youth to take Swami Vivekananda as their ideal and lead an inspiring life for contributing their part to the integrity and development of the nation.
Telangana Intellectuals Forum state branch president Dr. Raj Narayana Mudiraj called upon the youth to fight against corruption, anarchy, illegal activities and social evils. National environmentalist and prominent educationist Dr. Komatireddy Gopal Reddy stated that the youth were the strong foundation for the India of tomorrow. On this occasion, Ramachandra Rao was honored with the Swami Vivekananda Excellence Award 2026 for his continuous service in student and youth wings for the past 45 years and for conducting awareness camps on law and justice for thousands of people as a prominent High Court lawyer and for his invaluable services as he rose through the ranks of the Bharatiya Janata Party by becoming a Member of the Legislative Council and now serving as the State BJP President. This year, the Swami Vivekananda Excellence Award 2026 was given to only one person from Telangana state and Ramachander Rao was selected for the award .
The Secretary of the forum Professor Mohammed Akther Ali, Osmania University Public Administration Assistant Professor Dr. Raviteja Chauhan, educationists, TIF Coordinator G. Venugopal, and others participated in the event . They felicitated Ramachander Rao with a garland, a shawl, and a memento, and congratulated him on receiving the award.
