Hyderabad, Dec.29 (RAHNUMA):BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin will visit Telangana next month, State BJP President N Ramchander Rao announced on Sunday.
After a courtesy meeting with Nitin Nabin in Delhi, Rao said the visit would give fresh momentum to strengthening the party in Telangana. Detailed discussions were held on the state’s political situation, organisational strengthening, and upcoming party programmes.
Ramchander Rao demanded that the Telangana Assembly session be conducted for at least one month, stressing the need for detailed debates on public grievances and key issues. He accused the Congress government of deliberately creating distractions to hide its failures.
Taking a swipe at former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the BJP leader said creating hype around KCR’s attendance in the Assembly was like “Gabbar Singh escaping from jail”, calling it undemocratic. As Leader of the Opposition, KCR must attend Assembly sessions, he added.
Rao warned the party members against internal leaks, stating that the ‘leak-heroes’ weaken the BJP, and urged for strict adherence to party discipline.
On electoral reforms, he demanded implementation of the “Special Intensive Revision (SIR)” of voter lists in Telangana, alleging the presence of illegal voters linked to Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Rohingyas.
Nitin Nabin, during the meeting, offered strategic inputs to strengthen the party and said collective effort would help the BJP achieve better results in Telangana.
