BJP won’t keep silent if govt tries to break Rythu Bharosa scheme: Maheshwar Reddy

Hyderabad, Sept.24 (NSS): BJLP leader Maheshwar Reddy today said the BJP would not be silent if the State government tried to break the Rythu Bharosa scheme. He said their party would hold a farmers’ protest program on September 30.

“This government has not implemented the promises made nine-and-a-half months after coming to power. It has cheated the people. Revanth Reddy said    six guarantees will be legalised. But he didn’t do it. The loan waiver has not been done for half of the people. Wherever the CM goes, he swears by the gods. The farmers’ declaration was made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Revanth Reddy is lying about the farm loan waiver scheme. The State ministers are saying that the loan waiver has not happened completely,” he said.

Reddy said the gap between the CM and the ministers is known with their comments. “The Rythu Bharosa is not being implemented. The committee’s report has not been made public. There is no question of the BJP relenting if it tries to break the farmer’s assurance. Employment guarantee workers and tenant farmers have been cheated. Uttam Kumar Reddy said he used to give bonus to paddy  and now he is insisting that he will give only to fine grades paddy. There is a high price in the market for fine paddy. The bonus promise is bogus, he alleged. He said the BJP would bend the neck of the  Congress party to fulfil the promises it made to the people. He said he would stage a 24-hour fast near Indira Park on the  30th of this month to demand that the promises made by the government be fulfilled. The MLAs said the party MPs would also participate in the fast.
