BJYM holds dharna in Filmnagar against Prakash Raj’s comments

Hyderabad, Sept.26 (NSS): BJYM activists today held a dharna in protest against the comments made by actor Prakash Raj over Tirupati Laddu. BJYM State president Sevella Mahender said they had burnt an effigy of  Prakash Raj in protest against the inappropriate social media post of the actor that hurt the sentiments of Hindus.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahender alleged that Prakash Raj, spoke against the Hindu gods and customs many times in the past and added that it was shameful that this time also he did not express regret over the adulteration that was taking place in the matter of the most sacred Tirumala Tirupati Laddu.

“Prakash Raju, who is introducing himself to the society as a secularist and intellectual, has been vehemently opposing the Hindu dharma and the act in such a way that it hurts the sentiments of the Hindus,” he said and warned that he should immediately apologise to the Hindu community requesting God to grant him good sense of mind and demanding that his membership in the “Maa” Association be revoked. He warned that they would stop his shootings and films if he did not apologise.

BJYM State vice-president Mahesh, State leaders Praveen, Sudheendra Sharma, Avinash, Chakri, Arun, Govardhan Reddy, Sharath, Prashanth, Srinath, Madhusudhan Reddy, Ganesh, Shekhar and others participated in the event.
