Hyderabad, 28th May 2024: On Tuesday, May 28, a bomb threat was reported at the Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. The complex, currently the official residence of Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, was previously known as Pragathi Bhavan. Following the threat, police and security teams conducted thorough searches of the premises.
The name change to Praja Bhavan, which translates to “people’s building,” was implemented by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on December 7, 2023, the day he took office. Authorities are investigating the source and validity of the threat.
