Hyderabad, Jan.3 (RAHNUMA): Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) paid rich floral tributes to Savitribai Phule on her birth anniversary, observed as “Women Teachers’ Day”, at its campus here on Saturday.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Registrar Dr. L. Vijaya Krishna Reddy, Academic Director Prof. G. Pushpa Chakrapani, WDEC In-charge Prof. K. Rani Rajitha Madhuri, along with senior faculty members, directors, deans, heads of branches, teaching and non-teaching staff, and representatives of various service associations participated in the programme.
The dignitaries offered floral tributes to the portrait of Savitribai Phule, remembering her pioneering role in women’s education and social reform.
