BRAOU ROLLS OUT SKILL COURSES TO BOOST STUDENT EMPLOYABILITY

Hyderabad, March 28 (RAHNUMA): Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) on Saturday conducted a statewide awareness programme on job-oriented and skill-enhancement courses for first and second-year degree students across its learner service centres in Telangana.

In collaboration with TCS iON, WE Hub, Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India and Sri Ramananda Tirtha Rural Institute, the University is offering training in computer skills, English communication, business management and IT to enhance employability.

Students are encouraged to enroll in these courses as supplements to their regular degree programs. Admissions are currently open with TCS iON, offering opportunities for B.A., B.Com, and B.Sc. first- and second-year students to develop industry-relevant skills such as computer proficiency, English communication, business management, and IT skills.

Through Sri Ramananda Tirtha Rural Institute (SRTRI), students can gain practical skills in areas like basic computer operations, mobile repair, solar energy systems, and CCTV camera management. Additionally, specialized courses such as beautician training and embroidery are available for women. Under the “We-Enable” initiative with WE Hub, female students will be guided towards entrepreneurship.

Admissions are currently open, and students have been urged to enrol alongside their regular degree programmes. For details, visit http://www.braou.ac.in or contact 040-23680333 / 040-23680555.
