BRS BC leaders sore over govt stand on quota

Hyderabad, Sept.21 (NSS)The BRS party’s meeting of BC leaders took place today in Telangana Bhavan here. The meeting expressed serious dissatisfaction regarding the government’s sincerity towards the provision of 42% reservations in local bodies and the comprehensive caste enumeration. It decided to provide a study report to the Telangana government and the party on the reservation policies being implemented in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, as well as the reservations and other benefits accruing to BCs due to the Tamil Nadu government’s sincerity.

If the Congress government’s sincerity regarding the highly publicized Kamareddy Declaration is real, the meeting exposed the fraudulent promises made to various groups under different declarations. The meeting resolved to take direct action if comprehensive caste enumeration was not conducted and the provision of 42% reservations and the legal status of the BC sub-plan are not ensured by November 10, as promised in the Kamareddy Declaration.

The meeting was attended by Legislative Council Leader of the Opposition and former Speaker Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chari, Deputy Chairman Banda Prakash Mudiraj, former Minister V Srinivas Goud, Rajya Sabha members Vaddiraju Ravi Chandra, former Rajya Sabha members Badugu Lingayya Yadav, Dasoju Sravan Kumar, MLC Shambirpur Raju, former MLC Karne Prabhakar, former Chairpersons Palle Ravi Kumar Goud, Jooluri Gauri Shankar, Dr. Anjaneya Goud, Gellu Srinivas Goud, Rajesh, Doodimetla Balaraju Yadav, former MLAs Bolla Mallayya Yadav, Jajula  Surender, Nomula Bhagat, former members of the BC Commission Kishore Goud, Upendra Chari, Gattu Ranchandra Rao, Gosa L Srinivas Yadav, among others.
