Hyderabad, July 30 (NSS): Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka alleged that the previous BRS government had not done anything for the development of scheduled tribes during the last ten years.
Taking part in the discussion on the annual financial statement ( Budget) for 2024-25 in the Assembly on Tuesday, the Minister said that the Congress government in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh in 2006 had benefited the STs through the distribution of podu land pattas and caused the empowerment of tribal people.
She criticised that the BRS leaders, who were in power for ten years, had not done anything for the STs and asked them to tell how many jobs were given to STs during their regime.
“In the name of distribution of Podu land pattas, the BRS government had cheated the tribals and didn’t hand over the land to the beneficiaries,” Seethakka said.
