Hyderabad, Sept.19 (NSS):The BRS party leaders have lodged a complaint with DGP Jitender regarding the attacks on their party leaders and workers in the State. Among those who met the DGP were BRS leaders Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Jagadish Reddy, Padi Kaushik Reddy, Sanjay Kumar, Vivekananda Goud, RS Praveen Kumar and many others.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Jagadish Reddy alleged that the BRS party MLAs were attacked in front of the police and added that the Congress goons were resorting to attacks. Jagadeesh Reddy said the police were still watching the conspiracy against their party leaders and workers. “So far, we have complained to the DGP four times about the attacks by the Congress goons. Harish Rao reminded that no action has been taken against those who attacked them so far. Congress goons are targeting BRS activists and carrying out the attacks,” he alleged.
He said BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy’s house was attacked after he challenged MLA Arikepudi Gandhi and added that Police could not take any action against Arikepudi Gandhi, who had stormed Kaushik Reddy’s house with his followers and the Congress workers. He said the image of the police in the State was fast deteriorating. He said the misfortune of celebrating the birthdays of Congress leaders in police stations was being witnessed under the Congress rule.
Jagadish Reddy accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of corrupting the police system and the rest of the society in Telangana. “Revanth does not know the status of chief minister. His words will disturb the peace and security in the State. There is no question of being afraid of the threats of CM,” he said, adding that they had requested the DGP to protect the future of the Police department and protect the dignity of the State.
