Hyderabad, Aug.3 (NSS): ” BRS MLAs provoked me in the Assembly. In response to that, I lost my patience and had to scold them,” Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender said.
Giving an explanation on the incident of using abusive language against BRS MLAs during the debate on development of Hyderabad in the Assembly, Danam Nagender, who had defected from the BRS to the Congress, said that he got a chance to speak in the House, but Members of the main opposition had obstructed.
Nagender comments provoked a strong reaction from the BRS MLAs on Friday. He challenged BRS MLAs to confront him outside the Assembly and made inflammatory remarks, including threats to “peel off their skin”. The MLA further threatened that he would not allow BRS MLAs to walk on the streets.
“I got a chance to speak on the development of Hyderabad in the House. But, the BRS Members obstructed my speech and used filthy language which was not recorded in the mike. I lost my patience and scolded them because of talking in a way that insulted the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and me,” he explained.
Speaking at a programme on the occasion of distribution of CMRF cheques at MLA Quarters in Adarsha Nagar, here on Saturday, Danam Nagender further stated that he apologises if anyone is offended by his comments.
“Since the beginning of the Assembly session, the BRS MLAs have created obstacles to prevent the smooth running of the House. In the last ten years, Members like me never got a chance to speak in the Assembly. BRS MLAs should change their ways by contributing to the Telangana development,” Danam Nagender said.
