BRS MP Keshava Rao joins Congress

Hyderabad, July 3 (NSS): BRS secretary general and Rajya Sabha Member K Keshava Rao on Wednesday joined the Congress party.

All India Congress Committee ( AICC) President Mallikharjun Kharge invited Keshava Rao into the Congress by offering the party’s scarf at his residence in New Delhi.

He joined the Congress in the presence of Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, AICC Telangana in-charge Deepadas Munshi and party senior leaders, including KC Venugopal and Madhu Yashki Goud.

 Speaking on the occasion, Keshava Rao said that he had decided to quit the BRS and to join the Congress party on the request of Priyanka Gandhi.

 “I will remain in Congress till I die. The Congress is like my own home. Those who go on pilgrimages always reach home. I am also joining my home Congress. I have worked in Congress for 53 years. I worked in BRS for only ten years,” he said. (NSS)
