Hyderabad, Nov.19 (NSS): Congress MLA T Ram Mohan Reddy has criticised the Bharat Rashtra Samithi ( BRS) leaders for spreading false propaganda over the Lagacharla incident.
Speaking to reporters at the Congress Legislative Party ( CLP) media hall on the premises of Assembly here on Tuesday, Ram Mohan Reddy clarified that not even a single acre had been acquired in Laxmicharla so far, but the BRS is spreading false propaganda regarding land acquisition.
“BRS working president KT Rama Rao is shielding Suresh, the prime accused in the attack on the Vikarabad District Collector. The role of the BRS party is clearly visible in the Lagacharla incident. The attack on the Collector was done on the instructions of KTR and former MLA Patnam Narendra Reddy,” he alleged.
The Parigi MLA, Ram Mohan Reddy, further stated that 7 Scheduled Castes and 14 Backward Classes persons have so far been arrested in connection with the Lagacharla incident and under the total proposed land acquisition, only 11 percent land is belonged to ST communities.
“The State government is not acquiring the land forcefully from the farmers. It has decided on a compensation package of Rs.35 lakhs per family, including outsourcing jobs and Indiramma housing for those who lose their land,” he disclosed.
