
Hyderabad, Aug.30 (NSS): The Capacity Development Course for Commercial Diplomats from Egypt, conducted by Dr MCR HRD Institute, Govt of Telangana, came to an end on Friday. The Course has been sponsored by ITEC Division of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
Dr Shashank Goel, IAS, DG of the Institute & Spl Chief Secretary to Govt of Telangana, who was Chief Guest at the Valedictory Function, stated that Foreign Trade and Investment, which drive the process of globalization, play an important role in improving economic growth and enriching the well-being of the people, across the globe. “The Foreign Trade not only enhances the Gross Domestic Product but also increases employment and wages of the workforce”, he stated and added that India, with its rich history of trade and its dynamic economic landscape, has always valued its partnerships with nations around the world.
“The historical collaborative spirit between India and Egypt is a testament to the enduring bond that our two countries share. The Course is a reflection of our commitment to strengthening this partnership and enhancing our collective capabilities in the global economic arena”, stated Dr Shashank Goel.
“During the Course, we learnt as to how Developing Countries can negotiate with Developed Countries mutually-beneficial trade agreements, on equal terms”, said Alzahraa Ahmed Ahmed Aly, Minister Plenipotetionary from Egypt, who is attending the Course. Marwal Aly, Commercial Counsellor, another trainee, stated that the Course was greatly helpful in realizing the importance of Foreign Trade and Investment, which are highly complex in nature, and also in understanding the importance of possessing thorough knowledge in this arena in order to protect the interests of Egypt. On the occasion, Shashank Goel, gave away the Course Completion Certificates to the Commercial Diplomats from Egypt.
Dr Madhavi Ravulapati, Course Director & Head CLP & CIS submitted a report on the salient features of the Course and, inter alia, stated that the Course involved field visits relating to the Course and also to places of historical and cultural importance at Hyderabad, Warangal, and Zaheerabad. She welcomed the gathering and proposed a vote of thanks. Professor Mohammed Abbas Ali was also present at the event.
