Hyderabad, Oct.16 (NSS): Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender Reddy has said that crime can be solved only if police is constantly learning, correcting mistakes and taking precautions. He was speaking as the chief guest at the first state-level police duty meet conducted by the Telangana Police Department at the Police Academy in Rajendranagar. “I am happy to participate in the first police duty meet in Telangana,” he said .
Speaking on the occasion, he also said the programme would boost the team spirit among the police and added that All cases should be solved on technical grounds. Only if justice is done will the victims have faith in the police system,” he said and added that the police should work tirelessly for the betterment of the society.
Chief secretary of the state Shanti Kumari was the chief guest at the inauguration of the police duty meet. The event will continue from today till October 19th. Around 400 policemen from different districts participated in the programme. As part of the day-to-day duty, competitions have been organized here on hearings and techniques of cases. There will be competitions on scientific investigation, bomb squad, dog squad, photography, videography, computer awareness etc. Senior officials will make suggestions on the investigation of cases and collection of evidence. The event was attended by several top police officers, including Mahesh Bhagwat and Shikha Goyal.
