Hyderabad, July 21 (NSS): Former MP Boyinapalli Vinod Kumar has said the Central government should give national status to irrigation projects. He also said apart from allocating funds to backward districts, the Centre should set up Kazipet railway coach factory and Bayyaram steel plant in Telangana and added that Navodaya schools should be sanctioned by the Union Government to each district of Telangana.
Stating that PM Modi formed his government on the basis of the support of NDA allies, he accused the Modi government of failing to focus on the issues enshrined in the Andhra Pradesh State Bifurcation Act in the last 10 years. “This time Modi will have to run the Central government depending on the Telugu Desam Party. So, there are reports in the media that a petrochemical project at a cost of thousands of crores of rupees has been cleared for its establishment on the coast of Andhra Pradesh. It appears that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is making some allocation of funds to Andhra Pradesh from the Centre,” he said.
Stating that eight MPs each one from the Congress and the BJP, he said the MPs should bring funds for the development of the State. “When we were BRS MPs, we raised many issues in Parliament and achieved what was due to the State. BJP and the Congress MPs, who won in the last Lok Sabha elections, have not submitted any representations to the Centre for the last 15 days. There is only one day left for the budget session of Parliament to begin. BJP Union ministers Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, MPs Etela Rajender and DK Aruna should put pressure on the Central government today and tomorrow on the projects to come to Telangana State.
