Vijayawada, June 12 (INN): TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time. The oath was administered by State Governor Justice Abdul Nazir at a ceremony held in Kesarapally, Krishna district. Following Naidu’s swearing-in, the Governor also administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with several dignitaries on stage, congratulated the new Chief Minister.
The event was attended by prominent figures including former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice NV Ramana, Union Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Rammohan Naidu, and Chirag Paswan. Notable film celebrities such as Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, and Ram Charan also graced the occasion.
In the newly formed government, Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan took oath as a minister. The ceremony saw 23 other ministers sworn in alongside Naidu, with 20 from TDP, three from Jana Sena, and one from BJP. The new cabinet includes more than half new faces, with significant representation from various communities: three women, eight from the Backward Classes (BCs), two Scheduled Castes (SCs), one Scheduled Tribe (ST), one from the Muslim minority, and one from the Vaishya community. Additionally, four members from the Kapu community, four from the Kamma community, and three from the Reddy community were given ministerial posts. (INN)
