
Hyderabad, Aug.19 (NSS): Several children, who underwent surgeries for hearing impairment with the support of the government, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy by tying Rakhi on Monday.
The hearing impairment problem among children up to 5 years old can be solved through surgery. Ever since assumed the Chief Minister office, Revanth Reddy has been extending required help for the treatment of children suffering from hearing problems.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the famous ENT hospital at Koti started performing Cochlear implant surgeries in large numbers. The State government is also supporting those who underwent expensive surgeries and provided hearing aids through LOC and CMRF. The AVT (Auditions Verbal Therapy) is also being provided for one year along with free hearing aids after the treatment.
Accompanied by ENT Hospital Superintendent Anand Acharya and Dr DK Veena, the children who underwent surgeries, came to the Secretariat, thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy by tying Rakhi. The family members also expressed thanks to the Chief Minister for lending a helping hand to their children.
Earlier, Minister for Panchayat Raj Seethakka, AICC Telangana in-charge Deepa Das Munshi, Congress MLA Parnika Reddy, State Women’s Commission Nerella Sharada and other woman leaders tied Rakhis to the Chief Minister.
