Hyderabad, Dec.11 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasised that the state government is not involved with the Lionel Messi India Tour 2025 event taking place on December 13 at Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad.
He explained that Messi is participating in an event hosted by a well-known organisation, and he has also received an invitation as a guest from that organisation in his capacity as Chief Minister.
The government is providing full support due to the visit of a distinguished athlete. Before wrapping up his trip to New Delhi and heading back to Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy addressed the media on the Parliament on Thursday.
He noted that Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have also been invited to the Messi God India Tour event.
As part of the God India Tour 2025, the Argentine football legend will be visiting India for three days, slated to stop in Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi on December 13, 14, and 15.
As part of the programme, after wrapping up in Kolkata on December 13, Messi will arrive in Hyderabad, where he plans to play a football match with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at Uppal Stadium. In light of Messi’s visit and the arrival of prominent figures, police are making stringent security arrangements.
