Vemulawada, Nov.20 (NSS): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday visited the historic Vemulawada Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple, where he performed special prayers and participated in key religious and developmental ceremonies.
Before the darshan of Lord Rajanna, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the temple’s development works, worth Rs.76 crores, near the Dharmagundam within the temple premises. He performed ceremonial prayers to mark the occasion.
The temple priests explained the rich history and significance of the Vemulawada shrine to the Chief Minister. Officials also briefed him on the planned development projects aimed at enhancing the temple infrastructure and facilities.
On his arrival, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy received a grand welcome with the Purnakumbham from the temple priests. At the temple’s Dwajasthambam (flagpole), he fulfilled a traditional vow by offering a kodi mokku (offering of a rooster).
Inside the temple, the Chief Minister conducted special rituals, including archana and abhishekam, for Sri Lakshmi Ganapati Swamy, Raja Rajeswari Ammavaru, and Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy.
Following the prayers, the temple priests bestowed Vedic blessings upon the Chief Minister and accompanying Ministers, marking the completion of the visit.
