
Hyderabad, July 14 (NSS): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched ‘Katamayya Rakshaka Kavacham’ (Safety Equipment) scheme for taddy tappers at Tativanam in Abdullapurmet mandal in Rangareddy district on Sunday.
The Katamayya Rakshaka Kavacham prevents accidents while taddy tappers are climbing trees.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State government was committed to extend assistance to people who relied on traditional occupations and the new scheme would be helpful to the taddy tappers.
Stating that the Congress government is striving for the upliftment of the weaker sections, the Chief Minister has clarified that the State government will not object to grow plam and Indian Date Plam trees in the government lands and also advised Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao to take up the plantation of Palm and Indian Date Plam in Vanamahotsavam programme.
He also asked Minister Sridhar Babu to take initiative for the plantation of such trees on the banks of water bodies , roads, ponds and canals in Telangana.
“The State government is committed to protect the culture of the Goud community. I appeal to the community people to provide higher studies to their children and make them reach to the higher levels,” Revanth Reddy said.
The Chief Minister further stated that the State government will extend the Metro Rail facility upto Hayath Nagar soon and all plans have been prepared in this regard.
Stating that the State government has envisaged plans to set up universities, medical tourism hub and industries in the land acquired for pharma companies, Revanth Reddy informed that the State government would take the responsibility of building a magnificent city at Maheswaram to compete with New York City.
“The wonderful Rachakonda area, which is similar to Ooty, will also be developed as the hub of Film making Industry,” he disclosed.
He further stated that Rangareddy district will witness huge development soon and the State government is planning to promote the district as a wonderful destination for tourists places in the world. (NSS)
