Hyderabad, July 12 (NSS): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said that HYDRA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection) should be entrusted the responsibility of management of the area in the limits of 2,000 square km up to ORR (Outer Ring Road).
The Chief Minister reviewed HYDRA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets) with officials at Secretariat here on Friday.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy suggested that transfer the powers of removal of unauthorised hoardings, flexies and collection of penalties to the HYDRA from the GHMC jurisdiction.
Officials were directed to ensure the police station limits and the Assembly constituency limits come under the same zone in the zonal division.
“Steps should be taken to conduct a study to bring stringent rules to curb the encroachment of nalas, ponds and government lands. Moreover, there should be a coordination between HMDA, water works, Disaster Management and Municipal departments regularly,” Revanth Reddy said.
The Chief Minister also instructed the officials that the HYDRA should be developed as a strong system, considering special allocations to HYDRA, if necessary.
He further asked the officials to formulate complete modalities and guidelines before the start of the Assembly session.
