
New Delhi, Aug.23 (NSS): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy called on All India Congress Committee ( AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi at the party office in New Delhi on Friday and discussed various issues related to the Telangana Congress.
The Chief Minister along with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, several Ministers and senior leaders held discussions with party leadership on various issues, including change of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President, cabinet reshuffle and expansion and filling of pending nominated posts.
Even in the past, the selection of a new PCC president and cabinet expansion were discussed several times, but was postponed due to lack of consensus among top leaders.
Party sources said that there is a possibility of inducting six new Ministers, but currently, only four may be accommodated.
Former ministers Sudarshan Reddy, MLAs Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, Vamshi Krishna, Mal Reddy Ranga Reddy and Prem Sagar Rao are being considered for cabinet posts.
For the TPCC president post, MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud and senior leader Madhu Yaskhi Goud from the Backward Classes (BC) community, Sampath Kumar and Laxman Kumar from the Scheduled Castes (SC) community, and MP Balaram Naik from the Scheduled Tribes (ST) community are being considered.
The meeting has also discussed social equations to make a final decision on various posts, including Cabinet, TPCC chief, Deputy Speaker and Chief Whip.
