CM Revanth misleading Assembly with blatant lies: Harish Rao

Hyderabad, July 29 (NSS): Former minister and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao on Monday lambasted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for misleading the Assembly with blatant lies.

In a chit chat with media persons in the Assembly on Monday, Harish Rao alleged that the Chief Minister was deliberately diverting the subject by sitting in a chair with a thick majority and was indulging in baseless allegations against the BRS leaders.

“The Chief Minister had misleaded the House by reading a report of retired engineers regarding the lifting of water from the Medigadda barrage. Similarly, he made blatant lies with regard to the installation of electric meters at the agriculture pump sets. In addition to this, Revanth Reddy alleged that the harm was done to Telangana in the BRS government by allowing the construction of Pothireddypadu project. In fact, the GO for Pothireddipadu project was issued only after the BRS ( then TRS) leaders resigned from their cabinet posts in the Congress government in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State, Harish Rao said.

In the past, Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy had filed a case in the court to implement LRS scheme at free of cost. Now, the same Congress government has wanted to increase the LRS price from Rs 14,000 to Rs 18,000, Harish Rao pointed out.

“In the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, Revanth Reddy didn’t not even give an xerox paper to the Assembly Speaker when the BRS MLAs were ready to resign from their posts for the sake of Telangana State. Moreover, Revanth Reddy had held up his rifle against the Telangana activists,” Harish Rao reminded.
