Collectors should speak extensively with enumerators : Bhatti

Hyderabad, Nov.9 (NSS): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has directed District Collectors to speak to enumerators extensively as the integrated household survey has begun across the Telangana State.

 The Deputy Chief Minister held a video conference on integrated household survey with the higher officials at the Secretariat here on Saturday.

“Many doubts will be raised by public in the course of survey commencing from Saturday. If Collectors talk to enumerators frequently, they can understand the concerns and doubts of people immediately and in turn, they can take these queries to the notice of senior officials and clear the doubts of people without any delay,” Bhatti said.

The Deputy Chief Minister told the officials to ensure maximum participation of Ministers, MLAs in the survey.

Stating that integrated household survey is a major programme in Telangana, Bhatti appreciated the officials for taking the programme forward so far without any issues.

The questionnaire has been prepared comprehensively and enumerators have been trained well and the house listing is also completed perfectly. In the same manner, the household survey should be completed successfully, he exhorted the officials.

“The Integrated household survey is the biggest programme being taken up in the country and the success of the programme will depend on the sincerity and commitment we will show to the programme,” Bhatti said.

Stating that the entire country is watching the household survey being taken up by the Telangana government and the survey will help great deal in propagating progressive thoughts and programmes, he said the District Collectors should not neglect even minor issues and take them immediately to the notice of Principal Secretary , Planning department and other senior officials.

Along with the Collectors, officials at all levels should give wide publicity to the survey and mainly focus should be bestowed on cities and towns, Bhatti added.

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Planning Principal Secretary Sundeep Kumar Sultania and other senior officials attended the video conference.
