Mahabubnagar, Aug.21 (NSS): Minister for Tourism and Cultural Affairs Jupally Krishna Rao has directed officials to take necessary steps to complete all ongoing tourism development projects in Mahabubnagar district within the specified timeframe.
On Wednesday, Minister Jupally conducted a review meeting at the Integrated District Officials Complex, focusing on various development programs initiated by the district tourism department. The review included key projects such as the Pillalamarri, Mini Tank Bund, the under-construction 3-star hotel within the Old Collectorate premises, and the upcoming works at the Eco Park.
Regarding the Eco Park, the Minister mentioned that discussions with the State Forest Department Minister would be held shortly to evaluate the feasibility and execution of the planned developments.
He emphasized the significance of completing the works at the Mini Tank Bund in Mahabubnagar town, given its potential to attract a large number of tourists.
Jupally urged the officials to focus on completing these works and explore further development opportunities. Additionally, he advised considering the possibility of filling the Mini Tank Bund with Krishna river water through a nearby canal.
The Minister also insisted on continuing the construction of the 3-star hotel in the Old Collectorate premises. He stressed the importance of prioritizing the allocation of shops in Shilparamam to women’s groups and artisans, thereby promoting local handicrafts.
For the Pillalamarri project, he directed the authorities to undertake landscaping, fountain installation, and the development of a children’s park, among other initiatives. Jupally Krishna Rao underlined the necessity of completing all these projects within the stipulated deadlines.
The meeting was attended by Additional Collector of Local Bodies Shivendra Pratap, Additional Collector S. Mohan Rao, Tourism Department MD Prakash Reddy, and other officials.
Before the meeting, the Minister inspected the under-construction 3-star hotel at the Old Collectorate premises. He also visited the Mini Shilparamam and Tank Bund near Ramayya Bawli.
