Comprehensive health security for Hyderabad police: Sajjanar

Hyderabad, Jan26 (RAHNUMA): Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar announced that with the aim of ensuring the welfare and health security of police personnel, medical examinations will be conducted for everyone within the Hyderabad Commissionerate limits, and their individual ‘health profiles’ will be prepared.

He stated that based on the medical examination reports, they will be categorised into A, B, C, D, and E categories, and appropriate care and treatment will be provided according to their health condition.

On the occasion of Republic Day celebrations, the City Police Commissioner unfurled the national flag at the City Armed Reserve (CAR) Headquarters in Petla Buruju and received a guard of honour from the staff.

He said whenever there is a festival or security arrangement in the city, the police personnel leave their families and perform their duties with utmost commitment and dedication, and the initiative shown by the police in preventing any untoward incidents is commendable.

The CP stated that they are strengthening the H-New department to eradicate the drug menace plaguing society, and urged the youth not to ruin their lives by becoming addicted to drugs.

Sajjanar also said that special teams are being formed in collaboration with food safety officials to crack down on food adulteration, which is jeopardising public health.

The Police Commissioner said Hyderabad is a symbol of religious harmony and public participation is crucial in maintaining law and order. He urged people not to believe social media rumours and to report any information to Dial 100.

Sajjanar also expressed his deepest condolences to the families of those who died in the recent fire accident at a furniture shop in Nampally.

He also commended Dinesh, Mohammad Zakir, Kaleem, Rahim, and Amar for their courageous service during the incident, as well as the corporators Surekha Om Prakash and Zafar Khan for their initiative.

Dinesh from Afzal Gunj was specially felicitated on the occasion. Sajjanar praised that religious harmony flourished during the time of crisis and said that the people proved “we are all one” when faced with hardship, once again showcasing Hyderabad’s Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb culture.
