New Delhi, Jan.5 (RAHNUMA):Congress MP Mallu Ravi attended the Parliamentary Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes meeting held at the Parliament House Annexe on Monday.
The Committee reviewed the implementation of reservation policies across various Ministries, Departments, autonomous bodies, and higher educational institutions. Representatives from the Income Tax SC/ST Employees Welfare Association, key Union Ministries, and Universities, including Indira Gandhi National Tribal University and North-Eastern Hill University, presented oral evidence.
The Congress MP actively participated in the discussions, stressing the need for transparent and effective implementation of reservation policies to ensure social justice and equal opportunities for SC/ST communities.
The meeting concluded with detailed deliberations on addressing systemic challenges and strengthening welfare measures.
