Congress, BJP MPs did not bring single penny to Telangana in Union budget: BRS

Hyderabad, July 24 (NSS): The BRS party MLAs today expressed their displeasure over the Central government’s reluctance to  allocate budget to Telangana State  in its annual budget.

They spoke to media at the assembly’s media point on Wednesday. MLA KP Vivekananda alleged that the Congress and the BJP MPs did not bring even eight  paisa to Telangana State even after winning eight MP seats. He alleged that when the BRS party was in power, the Centre had created difficulties by not providing funds to the State and added that former CM KCR developed Telangana with his own strength. “Not a single paisa has been given for 10 years. CM Revanth Reddy had made many promises and now he is playing a new drama. The Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with BJP Union ministers. Now, the same CM is saying that a resolution will be passed in the assembly against the attitude of the Central government. It is not new for the BRS party to counter the political conspiracies of CM Revanth Reddy. Both the national parties have done injustice to Telangana,” he said. Vivekananda questioned as to  why the Congress party did not ask for the rights of Telangana State when an all-party meeting was convened for the rights of the neighbouring State of Andhra Pradesh.
