Hyderabad, Oct.3 (NSS): Union Minister Kishan Reddy today alleged that the Congress government in State has failed to fulfil its promises made to the people on the eve of elections. Stating that the Congress party has already completed 10 months rule in the State, Reddy alleged that the State government didn’t build any schools and houses for the poor.
Addressing media persons at the state party office here today, Kishan Reddy alleged that the State government had targeted the houses of the poor and demolishing them like no other State government did in the country and added that it was not good for the Congress leaders to demolish the houses of the poor. He warned the State government that his party would bring all its administration to a halt if it continued to target the poor in the name of Musi river beautification project and added that they would not be mute spectators if the State government used its bulldozers against the houses of the poor.
He said they had organized protest programs demanding that the State government not demolish the houses of the poor and added that he himself wrote a letter to CM Revanth Reddy on the issue. He said it was unjust on the part of CM Revanth Reddy to act in a cruel manner against the poor without considering their concerns and protests. He recalled that the previous BRS party government, which marked the houses of the poor for the beautification project, retraced its step after observing the protests of the poor.
